Are those macros current--it sounds like you're eating ~2250 cal/day!? That seems extremely low given your physique and activity level. How much weight are you losing per week?

I ask because if that's your maintenance there's no hope for the rest of us! :tongueclosed:
Lol I lose weight if I eat less than 4000 calories a day. I think my maintenance is about 4000

I used to do this in my college days and it definitely got me ripped as well.
I do sprints 2-3 times per week now, in the mornings fasted.

Also rowing machine, HIIT training 1-2 times per week.

I am committing to 50 pull-ups minimum per day.

I have been training twice per day now, as lockdown wtf else is there to do lol. Can't really date, so weights before dates aha!

I have been training for 7 years.

Your routine reminds me of my college days. If I didn't know of Ray Peat's work now, I'm 41, I would go back to something similar and would get ripped again.

- Age?
- Morning temps, pulse, etc over time to see how the above are really impacting you metabolically?
- Sleep quality? (falling asleep speed, quality, waking up refreshed or not, etc.)

I'm curious about your weight and how much pull-ups you can do in one sequence or even better: how many one arm pull ups you can do.
A thread about the max of everyone would be funny...

I am 80kg and about 180cm.

In a single sequence I think I can crank out at least 16 PULL ups, (wide grip).

One arm pull ups I can't even do one with good form lol.

I really do think my crashed cortisol and twice a week metformin usage has helped my physique immensely.

Oh and 20K steps per day lol.
Very impressive, you look amazing! Well done!
What in specific do you think helped lower your cortisol?

Thanks in advance bud

I prefer eating organic hearts, but it's not that easy to source now.

I wouldn't be too concerned about toxin load... Just ramp up detox pathways, I use artichoke extract daily too.
Any labs to verify?

Hey Ray peat fans!

Lucas here.

I've applied so many of the Ray Peat principles in the last 2 years, some good things, some bad, but ultimately, I really just wanted to have high Testosterone/High energy.

This was my result.

A little about me:
-Weight train 5 days a week.
-160 grams protein, at least 250 grams carbs, and 50 grams fats per day.
-I eat plenty of Organ meats.
-Very high T4 and T3 levels, almost hyperthyroid.
-Very high Estrogen levels
-Low cortisol
-High DHT
-Low Prolactin
-High motivation.
-I abstained from ejac for about 3 days before this test.
-Hair thinning (I blame Iron deficiency)

Supplements I was using for 8 weeks prior to this:
-Natural Vitamin E 1000 IU, 2-3 per week.
-TUDCA 50mg daily, low dose.
-Taurine 3-5 grams daily (For many months).
-Cyproheptadine 500mcg every now and then (14-day intervals).
-Cistanche extract daily 1/2 teaspoon (I am affiliated with a company in the US, so DM me if you want my source, I do not want to spam this thread with affiliate links).
-100mg B1 daily
-Nettle Root extract
-L-phenylalanine 500mg in the morning on empty
-Olive Leaf Extract
-Calcium D Glucarate once a week to reduce beta-glucoronidase.
+more hacks which I actually developed a course on:

I do them in blocks of 5-10.

I am deliberately not having rest days for this exercise, I just want to experiment and see if I notice quicker gains without rest days for pull ups.

How did it go so far with the high volume back exercises? Is your regeneration impacted?

I ended up switching it over for inverted rows, hits the back in a different way, but for sure my back made serious gains over training and doing these 50 chin ups EVERY SINGLE day.

There's no such thing as OVERTRAINING... It's just under-recovery.
