About to start my rat on androsterone.

Does androsterone possess immune boosting abilities too?

I am not aware of any direct studies on that. However, DHEA is known to potentiate the immune system in both animals and humans, and some studies show strong androgens like DHT have a dampening response on inappropriate/exaggerated immune response. With aging, there seems to be a decrease in normal immune function and increase in abnormal responses (e.g. autoimmune conditions). The study below shows that a combination of DHEA and DHT restore both aspects of the dysregulated immune function of old mice to the level of healthy young/adult mice.

The study used an HED of 0.1 mg/kg DHEA and 0.01 mg/kg DHT to achieve this effect. Androsterone is a precursor to DHT and converts into DHT with efficiency of around 10%. So, an HED of 0.1mg (equal to the one of DHEA) should be able to replicate the design of the study. Interestingly, another study found that DHEA and androsterone used in equal doses had remarkable synergistic effect, and I doubt that it is a coincidence.

The hypertrophy was relative to castrated rats whose organs atrophy. I don't know that it causes hypertrophy in healthy, non-castrated animals. I think some time off every 3-4 weeks is probably a good idea as people reported diminished results with continued use. Pregnenolone may offset some of those diminishing results but still, some time off is probably a good idea.

Inosine, vitamin E, niacinamide, and some of the adamantane derivatives are all known as "radioprotectors" in older Russian studies. I am sure there are more but those are the ones I have seen mentioned in that context.

However, androsterone is a very interesting steroid in its own right and for a lack of a better analogy I would call it the "mirror image of DHT" due to identical structure but with reversed functional groups. It also seems to share quite a few of progesterone's effects - i.e. anti-estrogenic, sedative, anti-convulsant, pro-thyroid, pro-metabolic, brain protective, promoting insulin sensitivity, anti-adrenaline, anti-cortisol, anti-cancer, anti-depressant, etc. Some studies have gone as far as to suggest that it is androsterone that is the actual steroid with real metabolic activity while all other steroids before it in the pathways (including T and DHT) are the actual pro-hormones.

Update: first few days applied to my rat

Dose:

Day #1: 1 drop on abdomen + 4 drops Pansterone (abdomen)

Day #2: 1 drop on abdomen + 2 drops Pansterone (abdomen) am/ same for pm

Day #3: 4 drop on abdomen + 4 drops Pansterone (abdomen)/pm

Day #4: 4 drop on abdomen + 4 drops Pansterone (abdomen) am/4 drops Pansterone (abdomen) pm

Effects:

+much higher libido
+increased temps (went to 99 for the first time in over a year)
+much higher erection quality (near viagra levels an hour after application)
+increased metabolism - keeping this thing fed takes some work
+better muscle tone
+much more calm, and blood sugar more stable (seems like thyroid)
+larger flaccid hang
+waking in the night due to higher libido
+drinking at least a half gallon of homemade chocolate milk each day easily with zero digestive issues

-Pansterone without Androsterone increases libido some, but no erection quality increase - adding rone feels like a completely different animal
-disturbed sleep, which appears to be from lowering cortisol too much, but feels very different than caffeine, niacinamide overdose, or stearic acid
-nightmares
-tried taurine, aspirin, milk + sugar, and glycine during the night, but glycine is the only thing that helped to get back to sleep

At 4 drops rone + pansterone, rat really feels a huge kick in sex drive, but the sleep issues are a problem. Perhaps rat just needs to feed this more, so I'll need to do more testing.

Now I wonder how much rone my rat's body was producing on it's own, which seems like very little.

Any ideas on this @haidut?

BTW: Andosterone + Pansterone applied near the rat's penis is the most powerful supplement that I've taken from Idealabs by far.

I had some heart related side effects (angina/something that felt like a small heart attack) which I might attribute to the Androsterone, as I started googling and saw that AIs are often linked to cardiovascular risk and complications.. Could my symptoms be linked to the Androsterone Haidut?

Gonna replace my Androsterone with TocoVit drops for now for the AI effect.

Does Androsterone (this product) have the same dangerous side effects like raising cholesterol as the synthetic 1-Androsterone does?

Finally got time to report.
So started Mr Rat on Tyromax 1 drop BD, Androsterone 1 drop daily, 1mg Methylene blue daily, 2 drops Magnoil BD
two weeks ago. Well the rat's strength is the highest it has been for many rat years. Bodyfat has dropped 1-2%. Muscles are fuller. Yes the rat is happy with the progress.
