So I watched the 4 hour Joe Rogan episode with Jordan Peterson. Very interesting and entertaining episode to watch. For those of you who enjoy these two people, I think its worth a watch/listen. For those of you who don't like Jordan Peterson you may find the episode to be boring.

The entire conversation was benign and non-offensive. I really don't see how any reasonable person could be offended by anything in this episode. Yet people in the media seem to be losing their minds over the episode. I don't get it.

I do think it is morally wrong for people in the media to make up fiction against Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson in order to attack them.

The left's call for cancellation has nothing to do with reason or truth, but is soley for political gain.

The ironic thing is that both Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson are liberals and there was once a time when liberals were considered "the left". Now liberals are considered "right wing". Strange world.

Dude do you even read ray Peat?

The huge amount of money the CIA had from the Marshall Plan allowed them, starting around 1950, to shape the culture and political movements in the US, providing carrots to complement the FBI’s sticks. Their biggest achievement has probably been to obliterate coherent thinking about the meaning of “left” and “right” in politics. People with policies very much like Mussolini’s call themselves liberals, and promote war. The culture has been shaped to exclude the idea of class from political thinking. Several years ago, when John Edwards’ spoke of social class issues during his campaign for the presidency, the media immediately stopped treating him as a viable candidate. Trump’s focus on class issues helped to enfuriate his opposition, but didn’t stop people from voting. If class becomes a continuing part of political discussion, it might lead toward a restoration of democracy.

That's because class is not an issue in a society where anyone who wants to can eat 3 square meals a day, have a roof over their head, go where they want, etc. The marxists try to create class warfare where none exists.

One doesn't have to agree with Peat's political views to appreciate his views on health.
That poster was talking about the liberal/left misnomer as if it was a recent phenomenon and I was pointing out that ray had discussed that very same thing being done by the CIA in the 1950s in order to confuse the American public. I never once said anyone had to agree with his views. Being cognizant of the cultural programming is important, however.

That’s absolutely not true and if you’ve ever seen Maslows hierarchy of needs you would know people have needs besides food/shelter. Class effects individual life beyond just being able to eat sleep and ***t.

It is true and why it doesn't work in the US. That's why the shift to neo-class warfare in the form of fake racism is so prevalent now.

Sad that cultural programming by those who hold real power is so effective.

Rolling stone is the perfect example of a publication then went of the rails. Peterson/Rogan had a discussion about how it doesn't make sense to categorize people as "white" or "black". Look at the article below to see how Rolling Stone interpreted the discussion. Absurd!

It really is something to see the 60's alternative, revolutionary culture embodied by entities like the Rolling Stone and Neil Young become mainstream fascists.

Yes.

What is even stranger is all the occupy wall street and other left wing progressives/socialists that I know who are blindly trusting and fighting for the big pharmaceutical corporations. This includes one self proclaimed socialist/anti-capitalist who told me, "Pfizer deserves the money because they saved so many lives" when I told her about the huge amount of profit Pfizer was making on the vaccines.

That's why anti-capitalism is such BS. It's not about capital, but who owns and controls the capital, ie, individuals or the party/state.

It’s false and the shift to identity politics is to obscure class politics and class consciousness so that people who make 50k a year think they are upper class.

Indeed. It's not intellectually honest with what a anti-capitalitic stance should look like, which to me just helps to support the obvious: progressive's want to steal the power for themselves. The argument against capitalism and corporate monopolies is that they're too centralized and controlling; does it get any more centralized and controlling than government controlling everything? That's the worst possible monopoly scenario there is. At least with our current corporations you have the natural check and balance of market competition—at least to some degree.
