Is Testosterone Responsible For A Competitive/autoritarian Behavior?

Haidut talks about this on one of Danny's podcasts. He made the case with a study that estrogen is responsible for aggressive behavior, not T. Of course, T turns into estrogen so easily I think it's hard to distinguish between them. T may cause confident and non passive behavior that could turn into aggressiveness if stress is encountered.

whenever you see science attacking a male trait you should take it with a grain or two of salt. could this be part of the ongoing emasculating of society agenda. It seems their rationale is pretty speculative.

There is probably a lot of factors at play, but take for instance this example. Too much beating off sends your prolactin levels way up which turns people into passive lethargic individuals which is basically the opposite of aggressive authoritarianism behavior. From what people have described who've done this, have also significant drops in T levels, whom when stopped, regained more of an aggressive go get'er approach. The T levels also they reported rose.

Then again, I've also heard aggressive authority like behavior is linked to low blood sugar, which when you think about it; if you have low blood sugar and your body isn't producing enough fuel for it's demands, people can often become very angry and aggressive. Of course if you have a low blood sugar episode with no cellular or brain fuel, cortisol secretes to bring blood sugar back up, and cortisol and Testosterone basically oppose each other, as one rises the other falls. So in this case, Testosterone would definitely not be responsible for the aggressive behavior.

Testosterone spikes at night time when your sleeping, and I'd wager someone is not aggressively wanting to conquer everything in site when they are comfy in bed lol.

I once used to think that DHT caused aggressive, fighting like behavior and serotonin in amygdala calmed you up .lol

I guess there are two types of competitive behavior, one out of true 'spirit', born of confidence & a willingness to challenge one's own limits/abilities which are generally being developed, and one born of frustration, desperate to prove the self underneath is made of more than what it's used to experiencing.

Estrogen/serotonin would obviously be involved in the latter.

If that is your logic, then being dead is the opposite of authoritarianism

Every study that I read seems to show that T is associated with aggressive and/or competitive behavior.

On the other hand, DHT seems to give a calm and dominant behavior by acting on GABA.

So is T responsible for autoritarism?

I think competitiveness and authoritarianism are at best extremely loosely related. It seems you are equating them here, why?

DHT ....this comes from years of taking soley DHT derivatives only cycles with no test and the feeling of motivation and drive, confidence, aggressiveness is awesome.
I don't get the same effect as when I add T in, there is some benefit but not as the pure DHT derivatives.

Does creatine have any significant effect compared to what you're using, or is its DHT-increasing effect just hyped up

I think creatine is OK, but definitely overhyped. If you want to the true benefits of DHT either try 5AR reduced metabolites or go the dark road and try masteron or proviron.

Natural stuff would be some herbs like pine pollen or tongkat Ali, but nothing has really touched masteron, if I could stay on it 24/7 I would lol. I used this prior to finasteride and after using finasteride I don't get the same benefits (due to fin).

Everything is classified as prescription drugs in my first world socialist utopia, I'll have to see what I can get my hands on. Even ordering caffeine or pumpkin seeds from other countries is illegal.

before using all those DTH increasing supps, you need first have high or adequate T levels because DHT is made from T . I would also recommend you, when you have then high T then start taking creatine, coffe etc and also stop taking dht inhibitors. Then you will really have some good amounts of DHT to feel the impact of it. When you have a big thyroid or high thyroid levels the affect will be muuuch more potent.

I see. I have no way to measure my test and dht levels at the moment, but I've always had deep voice, naturally muscular frame and a lot of body hair. But my metabolism has never been particularly fast. Back when I used to workout I gained mass on 2200 calories at 5'7 170 lbs
