Is there a way to reduce a man’s libido without affecting his general well-being?

I know Ray said that high estrogen causes "insatiable sexual interest"; but let's assume the man in question doesn't have high estrogen, and is generally healthy.

Anecdote - Progesterone can calm things down while having benefits for general well-being.

According to Nathan Hatch, elevated levels of nitric oxide (a stress hormone) can cause excessive sexual desire, and he suggests eating GABA-promoting root vegetables like sweet potato and taro to calm it down.

He asked for a safe, not destructive way.

I think crashing estrogen is the most beneficial as it is masculinizing too. So lots of aromatase enzyme inhibitors like red grape juice, mushrooms, aspirin etc.

i wish i had a problem of too much libido. may i ask why you would like to lower it instead of enjoying and using it?:) i would say the simplest way would be to just masturbate excessevely (for example 6 times a day or way more than you desire for a few weeks).

I think the need to masturbate might be driven primarily by nitric oxide as opposed to testosterone. I've completely lost my desire to masturbate for quite a while now after I started taking methylene blue.

There are various systemic factors to consider but I'm gonna mention something that probably isn't going to be and has a bigger impact than anything else. That is to take control of your thoughts, literally occupy your mind with something else than sex. Make a conscious effort to not look at arousal parts of women and to reject stimulis. More importantly, develop a passion into something, small or big projects, acquire knowledge in an area, observe and appreciate, have fun with your creativity. People only consider hormones and physical factors without seeing how the most passionated artists, scientists, some of the greatest athletes and businessmen achieved it by almost constantly occupying their minds with higher purposes and preoccupations. As they say, boredom is the mother of all vices. It should be obvious but I always see it in nofap threads on the internet, people claim they go crazy in 1-2 days which shouldn't be normal, as they constantly entertain lustful thoughts (though modern society and culture are the driving forces behind it) and as such they feel constantly restrained. If you willfully don't make it a strong object of desire, then there is no restraint which is what happened with the great minds who were mostly abstinent.

Yes thats true, BUT. If someone can go easily three to four weeks without sex or masturbation and urges hit like a truck out of nowhere (in a very stressful way), thats where balancing out hormones is crucial. Low estrogens make me and many others feel in control in a healthy way. Nitric oxide is a new one for me, there could be something to it. Does anyone know where to get pharmaceutical grade methylene blue?

Crashing estrogen isn’t healthy. Tryptophan is serotoninic.
The nitric oxide idea is interesting.

Idk most of the my libido is when I feel best. Most organisms, even single cell have reproduction as their penultimate goal. I think there is too much demonization of regular physical desire

Do you know many organisms other than humans who try to leave a long-lasting mark after their death by creating works of art, inventions, sharing complex knowledge, philosophical thoughts and feelings. Sure with an atheistic point of view, it is easy to equal humans to other animals but if the only difference truly is higher cognitive abilities (assuming no spirit/soul) could it be that this higher intelligence promotes other goals, intellectual or spiritual however you want to call them, that cannot take priority over basic survival goals but that if those are satisfied then the more complex ones become of utmost importance and the overfocus on animalistic desires becomes an hurdle to achieve them. A lot of mechanisms in nature also don't aim at the optimal health and satisfaction of an individual as population control and hierarchy must take place so the "naturalistic" argument is flawed. With the current overpopulation problem, I think that our reproduction goal would be easily achieved with very little focus on sexuality. Some individuals may be more suited to take care of this while some others may be more useful not focusing at all on it.

About the "demonization of regular physical desire", it is a logical response by those who care about their mental/physical wellbeing and that of others to the massive promotion of sex in current culture. Would you know the extent of your sexual desire/libido if you weren't constantly bombarded by sexual stimulis?

The fact that the pornography industry is 99% owned by jews with satanic ties, who admitted several times that they have as goal the destruction of the human spirit, should give you a good hint as to why an opposing "demonization" is taking place. It's not only this industry, they also own most medias in which they promote oversexualization, starting with content aimed at children.

That said, if a lack of libido isn't willful then it probably indicates health problems that should be fixed.

Even though this will backfire as conspiracy. Orthodox jews are heavily against masturbation and sexual content in general (the catholic church is very mild in comparison). I had several jewish friends and know their views on this topic. In Israel pornography is blocked by default you have to contact your IP to unblock it.

Anecdotally, low dose pregnenolone taken daily for some time effectively castrated me. I had the longest nofap streak ever, unintended and effortless. However I should mention my libido is generally low to begin with.

Could you be more precise. How many mg and for how long were you taking pregnenolone? I doubt you castrated yourself, people confuse high stress hormones with high libido.

I was splitting a 50 mg capsule into 3 or 4 doses so that would be 10-15 mg on avarage per day for a few weeks. After a while I lost all interest in porn and masturbation. Stopped taking preg and after another 3-4 weeks my (low) sex drive came back. Of course it could have been a coincidence, but I have masturbated regularly since puberty even during periods of very low libido, just out of boredom, so such a complete loss of interest in my daily porn was unusal

Increasing sugar resulted in more controlled libido rather than a estrogen filled sex crazed self. I think lowering stress increased temps has made me enjoy sex more and more energy for it but not obsessed over sex as I once was in an annoying selfish way
