systemically if thats the cause there's an all round lack so likely causing a bunch of other issues, i read about (post menopausal) hormone level measures not being great indicator alone because at this stage more is made locally instead of systemically in the blood. so probably want it systemically

maybe rare but something to be aware of, if taking high amounts and trying to fix eye issues, which should only need normal levels
