No, its if reverse T3 then adding more T4 will only make it worse.

Your not really adding more though are you? Realistically You are reducing it.

There is T4 in thiroyd. So you would be adding more.

I know what you are saying Charlie, I mean that you are reducing your exposure to T4 compared to what you have been doing. And still getting some T3 in the process.

I tried very small pieces, 16th of a pill, and it just made it worse.

I wouldn't speculate how small my pieces were, maybe 3 or 4 pinheads. Tiny tiny doses. Do what u need to do tho fella.

Charlie-

I wanna be sure I'm understanding your hypothesis here.

You're thinking that back...what was it?...weeks or months ago,
when you took those high doses of NDT (T4&T3, and other stuff)
that the T4 built up in your system,
and is still stored there at high levels
which is slowing your metabolism?

Is that the gist?

But looking at how dangerous T3 supplementing is, I have to wonder about that and maybe will just let things settle out themselves.

Charlie, I don't think it's that dangerous, as long as you keep doses physiological (1-5mcg/hour). Also, you now know how to mitigate the effects of high stress hormones. :P

I have messed myself up enough lately, just seems like another chance to mess myself up some more.

Over on the RT3 site they say to wear a medical bracelet if taking only T3 because if you get in an accident or something they will need to replace the T3 so you wont go into coma.

They really use mega doses compared to what Peat would recommend though. Some people use upwards of 200mcg/day IIRC.

I checked out that website, Charlie.
I see what you're thinkin'.

It wouldn't seem too dangerous to me, Charlie,
as long as you use tiny amounts--
to start with, anyhow--
and see how it goes.

I don't know if it helps ease your mind, but it was Peat who recommended I use T3 a while back.

kiran-
What was your situation then,
if you don't mind me asking?
What was Peat's reasoning?

Charlie-

As I said, I've been sortuv trying a similar angle myself lately,
on a cue from Ray-Z.
But I was aware--or had forgotten about--
the view on the website you noted
about strictly only T3 being used
as a method of "clearing" the supposedly over-stored T4.
So I'd been using a little T3 blended in with lessened dosage of NDT or CynoPlus (a synthetic T4/T3).

According to that website's calculator method,
I am OD'd on T4.
So maybe I'll try the only-T3 thing too
(but I'll have to wait on it like you).

The thing that makes me doubt that that is your problem is:
you took that T4/T3 combo NDT quite a while ago.
Seems like it would've cleared by now.
Well...maybe not.

And the thing that makes me wonder if it is the problem for either of us is:
both of us have been able to sustain pretty consistently good temps,
and I have been doing pretty well at pulse too--consistently around at least 80, so...
I know your pulses have been lagging.

But...as I say...worth a try.
I don't think it would be dangerous at low doses.

narouz, I had chronic fatigue type issues, and just general hypothyroid symptoms with very low body temp (but high pulse) etc. It is my impression that he doesn't want to recommend T3 directly because someone might pick that advice up and hurt themselves with it. I had also been taking iodoral for a while, so perhaps I had some iodine toxicity going on.
