Why are some methylene blues green?

I bought one from eBay of poor quality and it was green. I threw it in the bin..

did you try using it? Could you tell it was worse than the blue kind?

I was talking to a supplier and he said it was “normal” for methylene blue to be green

The powder will have a blue/green hue. Once mixed in water it's blue.

I'm no chemist, but I was under the impression that MB Anhydrous is a dark green powder naturally.
Anything that's blue already prob has some amount of water in it.

That’s interesting. Yea I’m really not sure what it’s normal color is as a powder tbh. Gonna stick with only blue powder just to be safe for now

There are some that are blue/green, some that look unmistakably green and some that are blue from what I’ve seen in pics online
