Is the blue light emitted from cellphones and computers really that bad? I’ve been using a extremely strong filter the last months and it’s really getting on my nerves. Everything looks shitty. Really like the way blue light makes videos and the screen in general look.

What are your experiences?

I used the filters on my phone and laptop for a while, and I even wore those blue-light-blocking glasses. I never noticed any difference - no improvement in sleep or energy or anything else. I no longer use them.

I only use a filter at night and I do find it improves my sleep latency and quality. The rest of the time, I keep it off for the same reason you've mentioned.

There's no doubt about blue lights effect on the circadian rhythm.

Although I don't have any sleeping issues, my deep sleep is significantly better when I wear blue light blocker glasses and avoid it as much as possible after 9pm.

I have it on my phone and computer too.
