Vics Vapor Rub?

Hello all

Is it bad or not, would Dr Peat say not good or has he mentioned about. I used it last night on chest for a bad cough and slept pretty good. Any other thoughts or comments good or bad.

I like vicks and have used it in the past, but I dont know if Peat would recommend it or not.
The thing that's made the biggest improvement in colds for me is taping my mouth shut at night. I now suspect that one of the things that make colds hard on us is that a congested nose encourages mouth breathing and therefore hyperventilation.
