I switched to vegan type of milks from the alpro brand, and I digest it much better than normal whole milk which gives me massive diarrhea. According to cronometer it has less pufa than normal whole milk. Anyone with similar experiences as me?

Did you drink raw milk or pasteurized?I switched to vegan type of milks from the alpro brand, and I digest it much better than normal whole milk which gives me massive diarrhea. According to cronometer it has less pufa than normal whole milk. Anyone with similar experiences as me?
Store bought pasteurized of course. Raw milk is illegal where I live and farmers can't be bothered selling it to me raw.Did you drink raw milk or pasteurized?
Probably because you are reacting to it. I had horrible BO because my histamine was too high and I smelled like a dirty barn and thought it might have been my estrogen being high but I think it was actually the histamine causing the smell because it has completely gone away within a day or two of starting low histamine diet and taking h1 blockers. I wonder what it actually is in the sweat that smells this way?Whole milk also makes my body smell like feces, I don't know why.
I have started drinking soy milk. I get NOW brand Non-GMO organic soy milk powder from amazon and mix my own soy milk with filtered water.I switched to vegan type of milks from the alpro brand, and I digest it much better than normal whole milk which gives me massive diarrhea. Appreciate your answer. Thanks for the information, Grapelander. I realize soy should definitely not be used as infant formula. It doesn't compare with milk for nutrients for babies and children.
The reason I am drinking soy milk is because I had breast cancer two years ago, and I am following the advice of cancer surgeon Dr. Kristi Funk, who advocates whole-food plant based nutrition. She writes:
“This is another area where I dove into the science while writing my book. … I’d been planning to tell people to avoid soy. It turns out that soy is absolutely anti-estrogenic and anti-carcinogenic.
“I go over the studies briefly in the book, but basically, since 2009, every single study in humans as it pertains to soy shows a dramatic reduction in breast cancer occurrence, breast cancer recurrence, and death. Consuming soy leads to around a 60 percent reduction in getting breast cancer and, for estrogen-driven breast cancer patients, a 60 percent reduction in recurrence risk and 29 percent reduction in mortality. And these are huge studies following thousands of women for years. The largest study to date followed women of different ethnicities for an average of 9.4 years and they found a dramatic decrease from just a half a serving of soy a week."
She writes about animal products:
“When you eat animal products, estrogen levels skyrocket, and growth factors go through the roof. In particular, the big-daddy bad actor of them all is IGF-1: insulin-like growth factor.
“IGF-1 screams at all the cells to grow, which is extremely useful, as we all turn over 50 billion cells a day. … But when you have an excess of IGF-1, your cell turnover is done for the day, but it’s still telling cells to grow: to grow atherosclerosis plaque in your arteries; to grow cells that are going to become one to two to four to eight, forming a tumor; and then to grow and metastasize into the liver, into the lungs, into the bones.
“An excess of IGF-1 only exists as a response to consuming animal protein and animal fat.
Also Chris Wark of Chris Beat Cancer says that soy is a good food for the anti-cancer diet.
So I've been advised to eat no dairy.
I do make my own cashew milk, coconut milk and hemp milk, and I alternate these with soy milk.
Sometimes it's hard to know what to do. I keep studying about nutrition, and keep learning new things. I never thought I would be drinking soy milk. I've done KETO, carnivore, Mediterranean, and Ray Peat. The anti-cancer whole-food plant based eating seems to be working for me. Just fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts and seeds; occasional grass-fed beef or liver.
I'm always open to learning more.
Thank you. I do well with gluten-free grains. I do well with beans, lentils and I eat them a lot. I have gluten-free oatmeal almost every morning. That's where I need some kind of milk. I do use eggshell calcium. I'm older than most on this forum, and I've read varying articles about calcium and how it can end up in a person's arteries. I've read Dr. Levy's book, Death by Calcium. Yes, who doesn't love fresh-baked bread. I make my own "bread" now, using almond and coconut flour. I use the recipe in the GAPS book.Appreciate your answer.
If you feel better doing any of the grains, etc. I would stick to that.
I feel best with milk, meat and cooked vegetables.
I really like oatmeal; and love fresh baked bread (einkorn).
How do you get calcium - have you tried eggshells.
I used a lot of soy milk for baking and cereal for several years and I think it caused hypothyroidism but I didn’t know what that was at the time. I was in my 30s. Unless you have a good reason like @GreenTrails I would find something else.I switched to vegan type of milks from the alpro brand, and I digest it much better than normal whole milk which gives me massive diarrhea.
