Still new to Peat.
The first hominids:
Probably had good access to shellfish (close to the shoreline, easy to catch)
Wouldn't have traveled to the depths required to catch PUFA fish (mackerel, tuna, salmon, etc), white fish would have been the main fish consumed
Other animal protein sources would have been eggs and game, both low in PUFA
Fruits and starchy root things would be eaten when possible
Nuts would often be poisonous in the wild, seed oils uneconomical
Plants that contain large amounts of fat tend to be saturated (coconut and palm)
It's evolutionary bull****, but I thought I'd post it for my own (and your) entertainment.
