Help me tolerate D-Limonene

I've been testing out D-Limonene (about 500 mg of orange oil so about as much Limonene) for sleep to reap its countless benefits (but mostly to improve sleep through its promotion of GABA-A and adenosine agonism). Unfortunately, it turned out to cause significant gut irritation which is evidenced by increased mucus production; the gut irritation even seems to disrupt my sleep sometimes.

Do you have any tips for me to help tolerate D-Limonene better?
