I so feel this. Men would be lost without all the care we give to everything...EVERYTHING. I mean, when was the last time your man could even find his shoes without you.... we are so underrated

Get over yourself. Most men I know are very competent in a range of areas and coped quite fine when they were single, just as they do now they are in relationships. We need each other and are better off from a survival standpoint in couples/families rather than as individuals. But to make a statement like you have doesn’t suggest that you are very humble about your relationship and your partners contribution to it.

I think people take things much differently online then if I would say this around friends in person. I have noticed a that the men I married have trouble seeing the mayo right in front of their face, can't find their wallet and keys and other important items- and I happen to almost always know where it is immediately. And these guys were from very different areas of the country. Anyway, I am sure men cope just fine when single, it just may take them 35 minutes and a lot of cuss words to find what they need before going out the door. That's my two cents, and I am sure there are very tidy organized men out there, but I don't date them apparently

I was responding to someone who talked about the busyness of a stay at home mom/wife which is often tiring and thankless and I agree and feel the pressure of people telling me to get a job in order to contribute to society and make more money...and yet moms/wives do contribute all day(and night!) to family members who need all manner of things, and an entire house that needs its own care and this is not usually appreciated by the world (and early on the husband) but looked down upon as "lazy". I was merely pointing out that I am a vital part of society, even if just for the silly things like finding shoes for my husband who shoved them under the bed and cooking, cleaning, driving people around. If all women worked, we would have to hire someone to take their places as cooks, maids, nannies, taxi drivers etc.

Will any woman move to a non-western country and submit to a man there? No, because she's addicted to the lifestyle she's achieved in the west. Meanwhile, any western man going to a dirty poor country will immediately experience being treated with the respect he may not remember ever receiving in the west. It is far easier to cook something nice and go up to a guy that you respect and give it to him in a tupperware than it is spending months and years talking about how life is so hard online - but why do we never see this? And I see no reason to deem complaining to strangers online about one's husband to be "noble". Any righteous man would deem that a violation: "you come to me if you have a problem, not garner sympathy from men (and "empowerment" from women) in secret." Tom Brady - a man that likely any woman in this thread would fall head over heals for, if such an opportunity were possible - just lost hundreds of millions of dollars and his wife divorced him. He has 3 children... There are countless such examples that underscore the nature of women - of needing to be led and refusing to be. 80%+ of divorces being initiated by women is yet another understated reality. I agree that housewives are a vital part of society, but not necessarily for the reasons you mentioned. While most household tasks can now be outsourced, a mother's genuine love and care for their family can never be replaced; and few things are as calming and motivating to a man as the presence of a supportive woman.
As such, your emotional work is what really makes the difference.

While most household tasks can now be outsourced, a mother's genuine love and care for their family can never be replaced; and few things are as calming and motivating to a man as the presence of a supportive woman.
As such, your emotional work is what really makes the difference.

Lovely way of putting it. I suppose I didn't hit so hard on the emotional aspect because it is more subjective and the tasks are more obviously appreciated. No nanny could ever replace the love of a mother. It is sad that women have to go against the grain--almost stoop themselves below their peers, bowing out of the workforce--in order to provide a loving environment for their loved ones. I was very sensitive for years when my husband came home from work and asked without fail "What did you do today?" I couldn't help but always feel like he was saying "well, nothing has changed here so obviously you did nothing, prove me wrong!"

It was innocent, and there were many conversations about how I didn't like being asked that. I needed to grow up and be content in myself and my work ethic and not feel like I need to explain myself. It is tough to feel like I was doing enough, because I could never have a perfectly clean house...so I always felt like a failure in some way. But I realized that when people are home all day, the house gets messy all day. So I don't stress about perfection anymore.

I may be lucky to be surrounded by really great women ...or I might just filter who is in my inner circle ( men as well ) more than others but the people who I hang with are natural , smart, loving and really nothing like what might be seen in media etc. I truly believe that the energy that you have personally attracts the energy of the people around you - so maybe changing your perspective and having tolerance for others ... well that might actually help you not be so frustrated with an entire GENDER.

Even if you do stop this - you cannot stop what is coming - in 20 years your babies will be removed from birth and raised as state property - your only option is to gradually become completely self-sustainable
