It has a lot of the same benefits of swimming in the ocean. I'm not sure of the mechanisms as to why salt on the skin ( even very briefly ) is so helpful, but it's not placebo. Nothing miraculous... just a very cheap and useful habit.
Yes, topical salt is often overlooked. A useful addition to Epsom baths - the combination of magnesium and sodium will replicate the energising experience of swimming in the sea. Great advice, thanks!
