Taking high doses of vitamin A is stupid. The chapped lips indicates you are reaching levels of toxicity in your body. This is similar to running accutane. Just because you don't have acne doesn't indicate greater health status, otherwise people on accutane are the healthiest people in the world which they clearly aren't.
