After an adaptation period of caffeine intake it shouldn't raise cortisol in fact it will lower blood pressure. Anyways cortisol can be very waking and stimulating, it's not such a bad thing in the morning.@haidut its your time to shine now.

Very interesting, thank you!Caffeine Stimulation of Cortisol Secretion Across the Waking Hours in Relation to Caffeine Intake Levels
Caffeine increases cortisol secretion in people at rest or undergoing mental stress. It is not known whether tolerance develops in this response with daily intake of caffeine in the diet. We therefore tested the cortisol response to caffeine challenge ...www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
"The present study suggests that daily caffeine intake causes a partial but not complete tolerance to caffeine's effects on cortisol secretion. The responsiveness of the HPAC was particularly evident in persons consuming moderate doses of 300 mg per day at home but was effectively abolished in those consuming higher doses. The potential for a persistent response to caffeine in consumers of moderate dietary doses suggests that an elevation of cortisol may occur in the afternoon hours in those consuming repeated doses throughout the day. This finding may have implications for health status in persons who are especially reactive to caffeine, such as persons developing hypertension."
"Generalizing from the present findings, statistically significant increases in cortisol secretion may occur during the afternoon hours in healthy consumers taking repeated doses of caffeine during the day. Repeated dosing mimics a common pattern of consumption for many consumers, and the doses are within the range of intake reported by most regular adult consumers. However, despite the maintenance of physiological responses to caffeine after overnight abstinence, the existence of caffeine dependence and withdrawal symptoms shows that there is also a partial tolerance formation that can vary substantially from person to person "
This is person specific imo
listen man, many people have digestive issues, very high cortisol/adrenaline levels. If that's the case then coffee cannot lower cortisol. If you feel overwhelemed and anxious after drinking coffee, it's probably increasing your cortisol levels

Wow, that's awesome, thank you! Here you go, Coffee Inhibits Cortisol Synthesis
And special for @IVILA, if you feel anxious from caffeine, than you liver is failing
hmm now i am confused toWow, that's awesome, thank you!
EDIT:
"What the study says is that caffeine is neutral - neither raises nor lowers cortisol, while coffee contains a compound that lowers cortisol synthesis."

But it's awesome anyways
What brand of the supplement do you take? Curious to experiment. Thanks! In this study the strain Lactobacillus plantarum PS128 restored dopaminergic activity in rats subjected to early life stress (ELS) and reduced HPA axis overactivity/depression:
"Interestingly, following PS128 administration, the DA system of ELS mice was restored to the control level, and so were the HPA axis responses and depression-like behaviors (Fig. 4, Fig. 5 and Table 1). Hence, PS128 might suppress the exaggerated release of corticosterone and normalized depression-like behavior through increasing dopaminergic activity in the PFC."
I've been taking 10 billion CFU of L. plantarum for a while and maybe I feel a bit more chilled out, hard to say as I was already pretty stress resilient. But a nice side effect is that I've noticed smoother, more supple and hydrated skin, it's a pretty dramatic difference. Makes sense as there's a lot of studies on L. plantarum and increased skin hydration.
