I did a Dutch test before and have reason to believe high neurosteroids are affecting me. I have anhedonia and an autoimmune disease among others things from taking ADs.
My androsterone, 5a dht, 5a and b androstanediol were each twice over the top of the range which likely signals high allopregnanolone and overactive 5 alpha (and beta) reductase.
I know a lot has been made of low allopregnanolone in pssd and pfs but what if high allopregnanolone could cause similar symptoms?
I did take cistanche a few years ago and experienced lasting hair loss.
How can I reduce allopregnanolone without taking finasteride or a 5ar inhibitor?
