Hey all, today I found a tick on my upper wrist on my left arm and removed it with the tick remover in the image file attached to this post, I twisted it to the right per instructions of the guide that I video called (I live in an assisted living situation) and I kept the tick in a ziplock bag for testing. The website for the specific tick remover also says that it should be twisted to the right. Did I do this right? The head isn't in the skin anymore.
What signs should I look out for in regards to lyme and other diseases it could've transmitted? It's probably been on my wrist for either a day or a few hours. And what can I take preventively for lyme disease?
Thank you.
