"There are biofeedback gadgets, some very simple, that can easily make the connections between thought and body function clear. Just a stethoscope to listen to intestine sounds is helpful." Ray Peat

Could anyone explain why this would be helpful and what we would be listening for?

Thank you

Is there a criteria for the listening ie quieter is better. Generally I know my digestion is quite noisy. I'm not sure if this is good or bad?

Thanks

I think noise is better than no noise. In nursing school they teach that if someone has no sounds that’s a dangerous sign meaning the bowels have no activity which could be due to obstruction, impaction.
