Cornea damage / Got lime in my eye

Hi everyone
i managed to get dolomitic lime in my eye while feeding my wormbox and my plants. Was now at the doc, he told me i have a slight erosion on the cornea and an infection (it was all good until i was in a room with constant cold breeze, now it hurts and feels awful all the time.) and he gave me "dexagent-ophtal" which i should i apply 5x for 5x days directly onto the eye.
Ingredients:

• 0.30 mg Dexamethason
• 5 mg Gentamicin sulfat

I wonder, could i take another route of healing this? Would closing the eye be helpful and would progesterone/vit. e be helping in the healing process? I am taking a small pinch of vitamin c in my orange juice and taking extra collagen, as it was recommended by a paper i read that dealt with the topic to help with collagen synthesis.

I am not really worried but would like to take the opportunity to experiment. Would it be helpful to get slightly hyperthyroid for some days?

Has Ray Peat talked about DMSO? Maybe he doesn't recommend it? But I would try DMSO 20% Eye Solution in Normal Saline | YumNaturals Emporium

thanks for the interesting suggestions , reading something about silica and the cornea now. dmso is too spooky for me to put it in a hurt eye.
