So I'm a woman (obv) and progesterone does seem to increase my androgens. I get some intense facial hair, not a ton but some very annoying hairs come in prickly or long.
Switched to DHEA (5 mg in the AM), facial hair went away first time since forever!
Added back some HN progesterone in the evening (without stopping the AM DHEA), facial hair coming back, sadly. And am more depressed.
I think it's actually the progesterone increasing androgens (as @haidut says) and not because it's clearing estrogen.
Don't know if there's anything to fix my adrenals which @haidut mentioned is why progesterone would be androgenic for a female. Taking quite a lot of vitamins already.
Might try pregnenelone in the evening while continuing DHEA in the morning.
