I can not drink sodas because they give me instant, uncomfortable hiccups while drinking. I never liked e.g. Coke neither as a child because it always made the same with me. Why is that?

Hiccups When Drinking Soda

It is good if you can release the CO2 gas in your stomach when necessary. Your hiccups may be from the extension of your stomach causing your diaphragm to spasm. I could not drink more than about six ounces of soda at a time until I learned to belch at about age 25.

I got hiccups twice today after my Coke.
Trying to see if someone knows if it’s NO related; serotonin related; etc.
NO = nitric oxide
