Very upset posting this but most have my symptoms have returned after an amazing 3 years of mild to no symptoms at all.

I just became lazy and foolish really, lots of partying, pufa and exercise, whilst working too hard. As a result, my health just started to get worse and worse before I know it I am bedbound. I have lost my job, girlfriend and life I suppose. It just feels like my health will always be like a pack of cards stacked up, if I try and have too much fun I pay for it.

First thing I would like to ask is would it be possible to recover your health a second time after a crash like this?

My main symptoms are: insomnia, frighten easily, fatigue, depression, anxiety muscle weakness and poor mental clarity.

I am going to return to strict pufa avoidance again, egg shell calcium, daily carrot salads. Is there anything that could help me not frighten so easy as I am a nervous wreck for some reason?

Hi jayUK,

You know I thought you were going to say that you were still on Peat eating, but everything had gone ***s over arse and you didn't know why. But that's encouraging that you know why your health has gone downhill and you know exactly how to get it back.

Be gentle and kind with yourself now, because it's a shock to have experienced all those changes all at once.

For practical purposes, you know yourself best and what works for you, but from my experience: I'd say watch out for supplements causing anxiety (thyroid and vit K can do it for me). So maybe go supplement-free unless it's definitely beneficial for you (like calcium). Also even if you don't feel like it, it'd be good to see supportive friends or family, even just calling them from your bed until you have the energy to get out and socialise.

Maybe very regular salt/sugar every 1-2 hours (like salted OJ and cheese) could be good for bringing down stress/anxiety which might be making you frighten easily.

Hope you feel better soon

Sounds like the last 3 years have been a big success then!

If you did it once, what makes you think you can't do it twice? Most people on this forum would love to have 3 years of success (or 3 months even!).

It was a huge success, i look at the time fondly I remember my body getting stronger and stronger and just taking life by the horns. After 2 years I thought I had beat it and just let most things go such as diet skipping meals long exercise got promotions at work led to longer hours. But then it started off with insomnia and impaired digestion I knew something was wrong. I was then living on my adrenaline and after a while the crash come. Now I can hardly move with fatigue. I've learnt one thing your body is a temple other people can do what they like and suffer no consequences with their health as for me and others it requires management probably for the rest of our lives. I experienced things I never would of and I have no regrets just depressed that my body broke down and I have to let it all go! If I did restore my health, I will refrain from the lifestyle I had as my body just doesn't agree with it.

Btw thank you for the responses. And I will be gentle from now on as right now I feel like I've been hit by a truck lol. I think it's just anxiety that is making me think my body won't recover twice. I just hope I can restore it and be gentle from then on with my body.

Hi jayUK...if you are having digestive issues that can certainly contribute to insomnia and also too much serotonin, both of which may cause you to frighten easily.

Depending on your specific digestion issues, you could try Cyproheptadine or other measures to improve digestion like betaine HCL, apple cider vinegar, lots of salt (also very calming) and the carrot salad or occasional activated charcoal.

You'll bounce back, the human body is an amazing organism!!!

The body is amazing. You can and will bounce back. And when you do remember you can still have fun and not abuse your body. By respecting your body your capacity for fun and enjoyment in life will endure without fear of crashing. Provide dense nurturing nutrition, pace yourself, and maintain a sense of balance in all things.

Would be great to hear what you did that led to success, there seem to be few and far between reports of it!

Thanks peatypie for that lovely response puts things into perspective and will stay with me through this journey.

My main success came from listening to my body noticing trends and learning from them. All oj didn't agree with me, all milk didn't agree with me, foods containing high pufa knocked me for 6, reduce as many stressors as possible, love your body, meditate daily, I avoided sex and masturbation for a long time as it totally wiped me out, eat balanced good quality food every 2-3 hours, leave a long time to wind down in the evening(epsom salt baths, mediation, soft music). Over time I felt like I had energy like I mean pure energy like I could run marathon, my mind felt relaxed totally I could think clearly communicate effectively led to me getting a job girlfriend and so many friends who disappear when u fall sick btw! I literally had people in the palm of my hand I had a girlfriend who was beautiful I mean wow. Now it's all gone but it was built on a false economy, as I mention it's like a pack of cards and I literally couldn't stop it falling in the end.work wanted long hours, girlfriend wanted to party and stay up late it was pufa meals or skip meals. Before I got better I prayed for one day of health I got 3 years who am I to complain :(

Daily carrot salads, coconut oil in your food basically what's on here. I took pregnenlone briefly seemed to help but my main focus was to use food as my medicine. I hope this helps in some way

Hang in there, sometimes you have to fall before getting back up and being stronger than ever. You know more now than you did before, so you're in a better position for quick recovery. Be kind to yourself. Make a plan of actions that will lead you back to health and once you get there, don't forget how you got there.

I think I fall prey to similar problems. I get well and then I get cocky and think I'm invincible and eventually stop doing all the things that got me there. I also am too easily swayed by expectations of me, so friends, girlfriends, and work make it harder for me to live how I really think I should.one of my hardest lessons to learn is to just be myself and not worry what others think.

Take care. You will get better.

Things I would do:

1. Take Cyproheptadine
2. Stop all masturbation, but not sex. Eat pu$$y, it's a great source of L-leucine.
3. Avoid carrageenan and other bull sh*t gums
4. Avoid PUFA's
5. Carrot Salads
6. Eat a surplus of calories, including dairy, eggs, shellfish, beef, gelatin, etc.
7. Hit the gym-Check out the StrongLifts 5x5 if you're not already familiar with it

All these things should give you a one-way ticket to Boner City. It's a great place, I've been living here for some time and really enjoy it.

yes, i think you can bounce back/regain well-being/meet your new demands. when you think about it, every day of our lives we have to bounce back from something. so it's probably better to view health as a state to remain in, rather than some place where you don't have to invest energy into it anymore. the body is constantly evolving just as our life experience is constantly evolving - so i think it's rather normal that we hit walls over time where something has to change. every last moment we are either bouncing back or not : )
