"Me:

It is said hyperglycemia is bad because it can cause damage to nerves, blood vessels, organs. Do you think the sugar itself can cause damage if its level is kept high in the
blood stream for an extended period? There is a lot going on when the body is in a state of hyperglycemia, so it seems a little bit weird to blame any damage that is caused entirely on the sugar itself. Could it just be something else that happens to be high like FFA, insulin, lactic acid, or even an absence of something, like sugar (being utilized) or CO2?

Ray:
"In tissue culture experiments, very high glucose has harmful effects, but those conditions don’t reflect what happens in the whole organism. Glucose in the blood is increased adaptively to protect against something that’s damaging the tissues, and that’s usually a hormone imbalance that is interfering with the ability to oxidize glucose. The “glycation” that’s usually blamed on high glucose is mostly caused by lipid peroxidation from polyunsaturated fats, and the glycerol that’s liberated by lipolysis, and metabolized to methylglyoxal. The fats block glucose metabolism for energy, and more glucose is produced to overcome that.""
It is a well-known complication of a glucose drip that the veins calcify and become unusable if many bags are done in same place. Sugar is most certainly damaging according to concentration.

The interview had many good nuggets of knowledge, so thanks to haidut and danny for doing these!

So you disagree with the quote, and it is the glucose causing atherosclerosis

Long-term elevation will certainly contribute. If your body functions normally it won't stay up and periodic elevation might even be desirable in driving glucose into cells without using insulin.

Thanks for another great livestream Danny and Georgi. When and where did Dr. Peat say that his gut bacteria has adapted to carrot?

I love haidut and all the information he brings, but he has to take care of a part of his own health. He is just to heavy. Nothing gives you worse healh markers than carry to much body fat. So for his own sake but also to reach more people and giving his message more credit, he has to do that for sure.

Not sure about this. He could be short and stocky, which isn’t the same as fat. Bulgarians typically aren’t the Dolph Lundgren types, but that doesn’t imply obesity, he could still be well built. Though I do agree, if he did have an actual protruding gut, the message would suffer.

What in the world are you basing this on?

So you think that a guy like Zeus that has steady low levels of dumbesterone, stupidiol and garrettonin doesn't have awareness and needs to be told what to do? And if he indeed wased unaware or a fat person, that's the best way that you have to notify? Given that most people is already aware of their situation, the usual consequence of such comments is just a feeling inadequacy, what you're doing is adding the stress component to the story. At least inspire through means.

@rei and that's due to the glucose and not due to the impurities/allergens from the refined glucose supplement? And those impurities/allergens being injected intravenously in large amounts?

And it'd be interesting to see how many of those events you mentioned involved lactate ringer's solution- in that circumstance it's hard to see how it couldn't be the lactate causing the damage.

This has nothing to do with that. Nothing wacks your hormones more then being to fat. Well if i add stress to the situation, its good stress. Because then he will take action and fix it and will be way better off after. You are way to sensitive bro, that will just create chaos. You are just looking for stress
