They used the plant form of B6. It's not the same as the animal active form.

I think it probably can in some cases and can't in others. This is one study from 1978 done on 2 monkeys, 4 humans, and some breastfeeding rats. It's something to consider, but for me no reason to make black/white statements

Which form are you using, P5P?

I have Pyridoxine HCL. I take 100mg before bed. It generally appears to deepen my sleep, and help with glycogen. I sometimes get what I think is reactive hypoglycemia, and when I B6 before bed, I don't have that issue the next day. There could be something else giving me these effects.
50 mg B6 P-5'-P is like 250 mg pyridoxine. P-5'-P is typically preferred for amounts exceeding the RDA, as it's less likely to cause peripheral neuropathy and other side effects.

„FOr most people, natural form p-5-p is the best“ is what they claim.

I for one stick to p-5-p because of the possibility that pyridoxine actually worsens ones B6-Status as discussed here on RPF.
