I notice if I take niacin sublingually for 15 minutes I don't get the flush. But when I swallow it I do get the flush in 15 minutes. Does that mean no niacin is being absorbed through the gums or do you think it's a small amount that is and it's not enough to cause the flush?
The reason for it is that high dose niacin makes me vomit and higher doses are needed to get the affect of reduced hallucinations. Maybe low doses sublingually gets much more into the brain.
The goal is to get as much as possible into the brain to lower hallucinations in my case. Hoping someone has an idea or suggestion.
Just wanted to say this time around the 500mg lowered my hallucinations.
