My temps have been pretty steadily good, but my digestion and bowels are awful.

What is the best bet to go daily? Are digestive enzymes helpful also?

i think digestive enzymes are okay but they are usually made from mold fermentation so have potential to cause allergies.

Cascara sagrada aged powder is safe for daily use.

Fruit usually helps a great deal. I rarely need anything because I eat enough fruit.

Cascara just doesn't work for me.

Consider no laxatives, magnesium supplements, or high fiber/hard to digest/heavy foods.

Only been a few days but @Twohandsondeck 's "Sunprune psybomb" seems like a game changer to me......
SunPrune Psybomb -
8 oz 100% prune juice
1 scoop Sunfiber (7g)
1 tablespoon psyllium husk

Don't have sunfiber only been using psyllium husk so far but gut seems pretty happy with it along with healthy bm's :handok:

I have psyllium husk. Are you using it with prune juice?

@iLoveSugar

I also suffer from constipation, and adding more fiber only causes cramping in my gut and triggers bile dumping. Instead, I recommend taking high doses of magnesium citrate or magnesium hydroxide.

If you are constipated, do not add any fiber to your diet at this point. That will only make things worse at this point. The fiber at this point would be like adding concrete to a beaver dam. You need to clear everything out and then and only then start adding fiber. Take a natural laxative like Senna. You can use it for up to 7 days. I would only use it for 4 or 5 days. Drink lots of water, not cold water. Have you tested for SIBO, IBS, parasites or dysbiosis? These could cause constipation. Avoid drinking cold drinks and cold beverages. That slows down your digestion. Start your morning with a large glass of warm water, preferably with some lemon in it. Then, if you drink coffee, drink a cup. Avoid adding dairy. Then take a walk to stimulate your bowels. Hope this helps.

Rhubarb Root is remarkable at bringing about normal bowel movements. Just one a week has changed my ME/CFS bowel problems in ways I could never imagine or hope for.
