I'm still working towards having good energy all day. Sometimes I just don't. When I get tired I'll end up laying down and surfing the web hoping my energy comes back. It can be a big time waster. I do this a lot when I get home from work.

What can I do to re-energize more quickly so I can do more things I want to do and not waste time on this bad habit of web surfing?

Having a snack, of course. But that doesn't work most of the time.

Fixing something at home like changing broken lamps, reducing water pump pressure or anything really.. Cooking large meals for the family. Going out for a walk to breath fresh air while listening to music. Hint: download the music before going out and put your phone on airplane mode for maximum peace. Call a random friend from your number book and invite him for dinner or eating at a restaurant outside.. Shining red light on your body.. watching a good show like Fargo..If you are stressed, please go out and don't think of porn! If you are alone and really have high libido, this might be weird to hear but maybe try to simulate sex in the bedroom with pillows or something ahaha.. Use your whole body and imagination without porn. If you live in high building, go to the roof and discover your surroundings while getting a good dose of sun rays..

Also paper bag breathing and some pushups afterwards.. CO2 increases your muscle strength so you can easily do multiple pushups in one setting..

I just don't have the energy to do things like this when I get home from work, I just want to lay down.

Have you thought of taking supplements that decrease stress? Taurine, B1, B3, B6, gelatin, sugar, salt, etc.,?

Not these days. I rarely get cold hands and feet anymore, so long as I eat regularly.
Oh that's a good sign then. If you lower your stress levels, and you are still warm, maybe your metabolism is working properly. Any thyroid protocol you follow? How is your serotonin levels BTW?

What type of routine/protocol do you follow when bag breathing?

Also great tip on doing push-ups straight after!

Thank You

I haven't done much with thyroid meds. Wouldn't know about serotonin, how do I check?

Are you getting enough sleep during dark hours?

I'm in bed for long enough to get enough sleep, but i do struggle with sleep some. Still, after starting an anti-histamine, I get a solid 8 hours more often than I don't.

Oh I think they are too many symptoms to know exactly what pertains to serotonin, but I guess the obvious things might be stomach issues, headache, little depression and inhibition, fear of anything, and obeying and believing every authority. Also, aggression and agitation are possible indicators.. But I don't know if they are tests to check body serotonin.. I am not a fan of medical checkups but I can see they might be helpful, sometimes.

Oh I am very lazy when it comes to bag breathing, but I do it maybe once every two weeks or so if I remember lol. I drink Pepsi and Coke and I believe they are giving me enough CO2 a day.

I've got a little bit of that.
No stomach issues unless I eat wheat
Never get headaches
I do get depressed a bit sometimes
I've got some fears
Very anti-authority
I do get agitated, but generally not aggressive.

You say you are tired. My first impulse says: So maybe your body and needs some rest? I think the attitude that you should always have plenty of energy to do things is the toxic and prevents your body to really heal.

I do agree that spending time behind screens while you are tired is not going to help. I have this tendency as well, if I'm tired after work. I use the "freedom" app, to block the internet. This helps me a lot.

I think you should just do relaxing stuff. Being tired is not always a bad sign. Especially if you're temps are well. Let your body recover.

What I do is, bathing in sunlight or red light after work. Relax in the garden. Snuggle with my girlfriend. Go to a restorative yoga class. Watch a movie. Walk a bit. Stuff like that. Don't focus on getting immediate energy (except if you really need it of course). But focus on your body, what is going on? What do you need? Do you need a nap? Are you breathing well? Etc.

Just my 2cents of course.

Have you tried pregnenolone/progesterone ? It can raise your stress tolerance and give you energy.

Oh yea, I'm not necessarily coming at this from the perspective that I shouldn't need rest. I just think there must be a more efficient way to rest or something. Maybe I meditate or bag breathe or just read and start to feel good again more quickly vs getting stuck in an internet loop for 2 hours. I've not specifically tried red light, but have sat in the sun. Thanks, your response has given me some things to think about.
