NHS UK making doctors take covid vaccination

We are told that covid vaccinations are not mandatory in the UK, yet, doctors working for the NHS are being made to take it. Care-workers are being told not to come to work until they have had the injections. I have spoke to individuals who have confirmed that they have been told to get vaccine or not come to work. Here we are now discussing vaccination passports. I am worried and furious at what is going on. When are we going to wake up?

This morning it was announced a booster jab will be available for the over 70’s. So, we have a vaccine that doesn’t stop infection or transmission. Now the booster will do what? I don’t understand why people have been made to believe that a non vaccinated person is more risky than a vaccinated person.

Why oh why are we passive to this madness? What can we do?

I don't think there's much to do at this stage, but we could try writing to the ongoing advisory committee about vaccine passports. I mentioned it in another thread, but sadly (predictably?) it didn't get any attention from anyone.

I expect it's just lip service, though - the Tories have invested a lot of money and political capital in AZ, they're probably extremely keen to make it mandatory and don't give too much of a toss about the consequences. I imagine that Chris Whitty and the other Gates Foundation beneficiaries who make up SAGE will try to stay their hand until the vaccine they back enters the market later in the year.

EDIT: they could also just hide a vaccine mandate in other legislation (59, 2(d), 2(a) ). Not even the people protesting this bill at the moment seem to have noticed the "disease clause". Apparently not a single person has. In fact, even when I've mentioned it on this forum, replete with opposition to vaccine mandates, people are strangely silent on the topic.

I know it’s an apathetic view, which is what they want, but I don’t see how this will have any impact whatsoever. The vaccine passport plan has had its wheels in motion for sometime and nothing the pions say will make any difference. All they need is a majority to be in favour, which they easily have. The turkeys are literally voting for Xmas.

I think deep down I know this which is why I am starting to feel defeated, a kind of learned helplessness. We have been sleep walking into this for decades.

You are right on two counts: firstly, if you mean a majority in commons, yes they do have it. Secondly, it is an apathetic view, and that is precisely what they would probably want. If there is even a single person with a conscience on this committee, they will have to at least acknowledge the objections in the minutes. I am presenting a tiny sliver of hope to anyone else interested.

I personally don't want to remember years from now that there was an opportunity to at least try to do something, but I spurned it because I preferred wringing my hands on a forum. I'm not forcing anyone to write anything to them, but there is a wealth of information available about why vaccines are not always safe, people here have posted plenty of studies on the subject which could just as easily be sent to someone who might decide to make a difference, rather than just be circulated around the RPF echo chamber.

I'd like to know I tried.

That isn’t completely correct. I’m a healthcare worker (here in the UK), and my company has said 100% that it is a person’s choice to take the vaccine, or not. They can’t do anything to make me take it.

I also do agency shifts on the side (also as a healthcare worker), and they also have the same stance (even though I am going from place to place).

If you know people who work in healthcare who are being forced to take it (not that it could ever be allowed), I would advise them to take legal action and/or find a new job.

Everyone in my workplace has had the jab, and within the next few weeks will have the second one. I (and just one other person) are still untouched. All I’ve had is a meeting with my manager where she had to go through a written agreement with myself that I understand that I am basically putting myself at risk (and perhaps others). But ultimately it’s my choice if somebody sticks that in my arm.

I just prefer to focus my time and effort influencing those around me in my everyday life. Influencing is probably the wrong word, more like encouraging them to look at counter arguments to what the mainstream is feeding them and showing them things the wouldn’t otherwise come across. As well as getting them to see the bigger picture around metabolic health and the role that plays in any disease or infection.

Anyone involved or on any government or Westminster committee has long been bought and paid for. If you think they have the health of the people as a primary concern with this “consultation”, you’re sadly mistaken. That appeal for evidence, like many of the petitions they promise to “debate”, is just to give an illusion of choice or input.

At this point I think we’re pretty much in a scenario in the UK where the only means of really being heard is to riot. Protesting is being shut down as you will have seen. So what else is there? Posting some studies on a government website is just shouting into the void.

To be honest, I don't really see what you gain by trying to dissuade people from even trying to do something as low-effort as sending an email.

I’m not trying to dissuade you, I admire your stance. I just feel it (probably by design) may make us feel better for doing/trying something, but we are naive if we think it will make any meaningful difference at this stage.

Thank you, but I read back through my posts, and I think I was realistic enough with my wording, and nothing I said originally even necessarily disagrees with your position; but I believe you may already have inadvertently dissuaded people here, even if that wasn't your plan.

But try undoing 12 months of BBC and print propaganda in 5 minutes. It worse than converting people to Peatology after 12 months of Paelo. To get someone to go Peating you need them to have some chronic illness ideally. And for a full covid conversion you need them to have lost their business.
