Nausea Wakes Me Up Just Seconds After Falling Asleep

Lately it happens almost every night. I'm going to sleep with no or just mild nausea, I fall asleep and just seconds later, incredibly strong nausea wakes me up. I can't move at all because it feels like the smallest movement will trigger vomiting, so I just lay in my bed and wait until it get a bit better (usually in few minutes). Then I fall asleep and it all happens again.

What could be a reason for this?

I have a similar symptom where falling asleep sometimes triggers an adrenaline rush / panic-attack-like symptom. Sounds a little like autonomic dysfunction.

Yes, it definitely feels like a panic attack! My heart is pounding like crazy every time I wake up like that.

Do you have any other symptoms of autonomic dysfunction? Do you have similar symptoms when you are awake?

I have a few threads about my condition. I have dysautonomia, including POTS, slight dysphagia and neurological symptoms such as this thread's topic.
