My turn for fever 102

I am visiting friends since last Thursday to help out one of them who developed a serious illness this summer. I'm supposed to return this Wed.

Last night I felt cold and woke up with scratchy throat and bundled up. Today all day I felt throat bothering and felt feverish. But only checked fever this evening around 7pm, and it's 102. Ate some and then took one tylenol extra strengtth no difference.

Other symptoms: body ache and slight headache.

Does it sound like the flu?

How do I get the fever down so I can drive home Wed?

Also, during this time of fever, should I take progest, preg, thyroid? I'm already hot!

Any other ideas welcome.

Sorry to hear about your illness. I would probably try aspirin instead of Tylenol if you tolerate it. Anytime I've had a fever while Peating I continued with my Progest-e, pregnenolone and thyroid because I reasoned that it might be too much of a shock to my system to discontinue those things abruptly. Honestly I could be totally wrong in my logic though and welcome any insights others might have on continuing v. discontinuing those hormones during a fever. I hope you feel better soon.
