After reading Cathy O'Brien's book (and also "Operation Mind Control by Walter Bowart), it's kinda amazing how many movies and TV shows contain a protagonist that goes through experiences like she did. In addition to Johnny Neumonic, there are the Jason Bourne movies, Gina Davis in "The Long Kiss Goodnight," and Jessica Alba's character in "Dark Angel." Those are just ones I can name off the top of my head.
