what do you think of the DL-Phenylalanine form?

I think the L-form is safer and all the older studies on tryptophan depletion used that form.

Also one of those studies in the OP mentions the D form doesn't work on inhibiting tryptophan enzyme, only the L form "Consistent with this suggestion was the finding that L-phenylalanine, but not its D isomer, inhibited tryptophan hydrosylation". So people taking the DL form are getting half dose (at most, if it is actually 50/50)

Great post indeed. Anyone following this protocol can comment?

By the way, it is not clear when should you take the aminos suggested.

It can't be on empty stomach because you need to have some carbs to metsbolize proteins, otherwise cortisol will raise. Right?

It can't be with a protein+carb meal because the protein in the meal will compete/displace the absorption of the supplemental aminos. Right?

So, briefing, how does one use this protocol???

To answer an old post, with carbs or with protein & carbs:

"..you can stir them with 1oz of yogurt. Even though they would be mixed with other protein they will still have the boosting effects as they will be absorbed first.."
