Since your depression is gone, and kudos to you for that! I'd like to start a new thread about these various tweaks you're thinking about, that I hope may be of interest to other women who visit this forum. The Getting Ripped with Dr. Ray Peat! thread has so far appealed mostly to men.

If you saw a thread here, Getting Sexy with Dr. Ray Peat! Would you click on it?

I'd probably click on it, but I click on a lot of threads. Don't want to over analyze, but it sort of assumes that most women are looking to become sexy (as opposed to healthier, stronger, smarter, etc).
It also sounds like it might be a thread based more on libido issues.

Also, when read as: "Getting sexy with Dr. Ray Peat," it has an entirely different connotation, which I find amusing, but probably not what we're going for.

I think it would be about libido, yes, as it correlates to Peatian metabolism and consciousness.

Maybe we could keep it simple: Gettin' Sexy! ... with Dr. Ray Peat.

I'm interested in sharing RP's viewpoint with a broader audience. If you look at google trends, his views are largely ignored, and that's a shame, because to me he deserves to be heard. I've heard chefs and bloggers say they are warned not to link to him by their sponsors, the food corporations, most likely due to his stance on the degradation of the food supply.

I think clickability and shareability would be less for these:
Getting Healthier! ... with Dr. Ray Peat
Getting Stronger! ... with Dr. Ray Peat
Getting Smarter! ... with Dr. Ray Peat

Or maybe something like: How to balance a female's hormones/metabolism.
I think people searching on a Peat site or for a Peat site will probably put in those search terms (hormones, metabolism). I know it's pretty general, but would probably get clicks.

I think that's a man's take on what women want /what a man wants a woman to want! For me it would be a bonus but just one thing I'm looking for and to be honest, not even that close to the top. I want more energy, better sleep, to feel good ( no aching, PMS, migraines, moods),to do all I can to avoid disease, and weight loss, in that order. Libido is somewhere further on, near stronger nails.

Thank you! I've tried a google trends for a few of these, and I got this:

You're right, hormone, or here "thyroid hormone", and "Premenstrual syndrome" are relatively popular.

For weight loss, "Getting Ripped" seems only to appeal to men. I was hoping there might be a positive connotation like this for women, that avoids the "loss" in weight loss? I mean, some value you "get" rather than lose. That's what I was hoping for with, "Get Sexy!" but it hasn't come across that way.

It's interesting that with peating you do "get" all of these popular terms together in one.

I think the "get sexy" thread is a great idea. I imagine it would appeal more to younger women; my mother (age 60) probably won't be interested. But then my mother, like most 60 year olds, is dealing with a number of semi-serious health problems, and looking sexy just doesn't rank very high in her hierarchy of needs.

I have mentioned the idea to a couple of young airheaded girls that I hang out with, that, thru Peatian eating: a woman may be able to actually become more attractive. Holy crap, it's like I just pulled the pin on a grenade, they go from partially interested to EXTREMELY interested! And why wouldn't they be? It's something that's a pressing matter in their lives at that point.

I think youth (and really just every single person in the world) should be eatin' Peatian. The world will be a far better place for it. People will be much better towards each other since they will already be happy. They will just be sitting there and being happy, and I can't imagine anyone who will be very motivated to go out and take, steal, kill, destroy, start a multinational corporation, club seals, or watch Oprah, when they are already ridiculously happy. Happy people don't do those things.

I myself have become much more fun to be around in the last few months. My creativity has been off the charts for the last two weeks while I've been experimenting with active charcoal and CO2. Nothing seems able to put me in a bad mood: today I had a headache (cause: imperfect Peatianing) but while I had the headache I still managed to be irresistibly charming to some co-workers with some funny stories. It was very strange to me to be in pain physically and yet somehow still love life... I don't remember things being like this, even in childhood...

Back to the topic of sudden depression... I had been taking T3 only, and every time I tried to introduce T4, I would get hypo symptoms, and just be freezing cold. So thinking that NDT would be more natural, and have a natural balance, I ordered Pimpom Thiroid. Divided the pill, so I was only taking 1/4 pill a day, in divided doses.
First day: Wow, this is great! feel warm, mentally clear, great energy... By end of first week, thinking this isn't a large enough dose, isn't making much difference, tempted to increase... But after reading Charlie's experience, I decided to wait. After nine days: depressed, sleepy, lethargic.
At this point, I decided to try T3 during the day, and NDT at bedtime. Not sure what the ratio is, but I feel a lot better. Guess my body is not making the T4 to T3 conversion... Don't know what to do about that.
By the way, I notice I can feel warm, subjectively, but the thermometer is not showing it. I don't get the low. low temps, like when I first started (95-96 F), but I rarely even get to 98, usually 97's no matter what I do. So, guess I still have a long way to go.
