Hi everyone, I seem to get mood disorders from nightshades (Potatoes are the worst), lately tomatoes as well. I suspect even the spices I add to my curry like Paprika (Nightshade) is adding to my mood issues and I fall asleep late at night (between 2-3am). Which spices do people use most frequently that does not give them histamine/mood issues? Thanks

I use a lot of Garam Masala (Cinnamon, pepper, coriander, orange peel, black and white pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, and clove). Cayenne pepper is also very good in small quantities.

paprika is dried peppers. Peppers, tomatoes, eggplant are all inflammatory for me. I can tolerate some sometimes but not all the time.

Quantity makes a difference. A very hot pepper can let you use very little and get lots of flavor, and for me it isn't more irritating than lots of paprika or less hot peppers are.
