I'm Glad I Didn't Get A Varicocelectomy

Just throwing this out there.

I suspected for a time that perhaps my low T was being caused by my varicocele. But I since I started experimenting with with aromatase inhibitors I discovered that I have the kind of hypogonadism that is not caused by any malfunction of the testicles. Apparently my testicles work just fine even with a varicocele, and the primary culprit for me is aromatization.

Maybe there are other reasons to get it done, but if you are where I was years ago and trying to find out whether getting this operation will raise your testosterone, I would suggest you try aromatase inhibitors first.

For that matter, I think AI's should be tried before testosterone replacement as well. Because if your problem is high aromatization it's just going to be worse with more T and you're going to need an AI anyway, and if you're like me you might find you can just use the AI to get normal testosterone levels.

Hi Franko... were you ever able to get rid of your varicocele? Any idea what caused it? Thanks.
