Yes, especially if it is EPA/DHA. Jaminet even makes the point in his book how DHA is 8 times more prone to lipid peroxidation than linoleic acid, and so in a sense 2 grams of EPA/DHA equals 16 grams of linoleic acid and that´s obivously too much. I think he places too much emphasis on the n3 to n6 ratio, which is in fact more or less unchanged the past 40 or 100 years in the US due to the high soybean oil consumption (with a relatively favorable n3 to n6 ratio). I think in many other countries with far higher life expectancy the n3 to n6 is actually much less favorable than in the US.
