If the thyroid hormones are "working", do they necessarily lower cholesterol? In other words, is the lowered cholesterol from thyroid supplementation a good way to gauge how well they are working? Are there exceptions to this? Infection can lower cholesterol, but would that interfere with thyroid's turnover of cholesterol into the steroids?
