For those who can't drink coffee, turmeric may be the solution to ridding the body of excess iron!

"Turmeric is categorised into food that can decrease iron absorption by 20 per cent to 90 per cent, depending on its intake."

The first step to ridding heavy metals in the body is to not put them in in the first place. This was posted in another thread, by fico, on cadmium in chocolate.

If you ingest anything processed (anything but whole foods and things you've cooked up from whole food ingredients) you are likely increasing your heavy metal intake.

I believe raw pasture raised milk should be regularly consumed as a prophylactic against free iron toxicity. It should also be included in recipes wherever possible so that raw milk can be mixed and in contact with the ingredients for as long as possible in an unheated unfrozen state so as to allow the raw milk to detox the food.

“Pfizer issued a recall on five lots of Accupril due to a nitrosamine impurity.

If exposed to high levels over a long period of time, nitrosamines can increase the risk of cancer, according to the FDA.

Accupril is used to help lower blood pressure and is indicated in the management of heart failure.“

“The FDA says that distributors and sellers of any product in the recall should stop use, distribution, and quarantine the product immediately if it is in inventory.”

“The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is taking action to reduce the amount of lead in apple juice and other juices. The FDA has issued draft guidance on steps that need to be made to make juice safer for people to drink.

Under the current regulations, juice can contain up to 50 parts per billion (ppb) of lead. If the draft action is finalized, it will lower the limit to 10 ppb in apple juice and 20 ppb for other juices.

The change would cause a 46% reduction in exposure to lead from apple juice in kids and a 19% reduction in exposure to lead from other juices, the FDA says. The FDA says it created the lowered draft action level for apple juice because it’s the juice children drink the most.“




“People are typically exposed to lead by breathing in lead fumes or lead dust, accidentally ingesting lead dust, or coming into contact with lead dust, which can be absorbed through your skin, the CDC says.

There are a few different ways lead can end up in juice. One is that lead is in the environment as a naturally-occurring element and it’s not possible to remove it entirely from the food supply, the FDA says.

Lead was also previously used as a pesticide, explains Scott Keatley, R.D., of Keatley Medical Nutrition Therapy. “Despite it being decades since it was used, lead does not simply disappear and standard fertilizers allow the lead to be taken into the tree more easily,” he says. “A single cup of juice contains about three apples. The more juice is consumed, the more likely it is to bring some lead into your body.”

Have to be very careful with Chlorella. Many mercury toxic people have had very bad experiences using it to detox as while it does chelate metals, many think it doesn’t bind to them strongly, and as a result can pick the metals up and move them around the body and drop them again in the process.

Also depending on where it is grown it can pickup toxins from the water it is grown in.

Thanks for the warning! Many years ago I took this recommended brand to regrow gum tissue and it served me well without issue. I would be leery to take anything less. Of course back then I didn’t know about iron and soy lecithin, but it sure was a powerhouse of other hard to find things. The high vitamin D and B12 in it is impressive for such tiny little tablets.
