You could be correct too. I guess they can be linked without it being a rule without exception though.
Perhaps some organisms can survive a state of excess estrogens and hence still live well into old age. Perhaps these same people, had they kept estrogen low, would still have hair and live 30 years longer than they do even if they do reach what is considered a good age?

There are multiple causes of poor health and death...
And yes genes influence it. Rob at PHH even said that some people hold subcutaneous fat more than visceral, the prior leading to a healthier head of hair

I'm in US. Here, there's 3 categories of female apperance pretty much, and it ain't often pretty.

1) Smallest proportion of American women: feminine, curvy, nothing androgynous. All-woman in their features.

2) Larger proportion of American women: androgynous, thin, boyish, one or more masculine-type looks.

3) Majority of American women: fat, fat, fat. Their blob-like overall look swallows up masculine and feminine features. The fatter a woman is, the less sexually dimorphic she is, the less any gendered features, masculine or feminine, are distinguishable.

It says something about many American women that their arguably number 1 model for being female is Oprah Winfrey, an obvious fatty, rather than Marilyn Monroe or Trump's wife. Your situation in Europe is enviable. I've been there many times, and I find it's very noticeable how slim so many women are, even women well into their 40s and 50s, it's remarkable. And they really take care of themselves, the clothes they wear and makeup and how much or little they apply it.

Where do you live, US? I gotta say in Europe at least women generally seem to be getting hotter and more feminine with each passing year.

About baldness, many of the men who women rank among the sexiest in the world are bald/balding. There are way worse things for a man than to lose his hair (like hypogonadism or hypothyroidism), and baldness often occurs in men with excellent thyroid and androgen levels.

I think the reason many are finding these strange people attractive is subconscious programming. They are on the TV all the time, cover of magazines, newspapers, posters everywhere, in cinema, in video games in porn. It is non-stop bombardment.
