Ray Peat could be suppressing his calcitonin levels with T4 and T3 synthetic hormones.
Calcitonin controlling blood levels of calcium and preventing soft tissue and arterial calcification.

[The effects of levothyroxine replacement therapy on bone and mineral metabolism in patients with hypothyroidism].[/paste:font]
R Chai, Z Ye, Z Zhan, W Liu, M Yu and Y Liu, Zhonghua nei ke za zhi, Jan 1999

To investigate the effects of short-term thyroid hormone replacement therapy on bone and mineral metabolism in patients with hypothyroidism.Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to measure urinary deoxypyridinoline (DPD) and radioimmunoassay (RIA) to measure serum calcitonin (CT), parathyroid hormone (PTH-M), bone GLA protein (BGP), free T(3) (FT(3)), free T(4) (FT(4)) and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in 29 patients with hypothyroidism before and after treatment with levothyroxine for (11.5 +/- 2.5) months. Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry was used to measure bone mineral density (BMD) of their spine (L(2 - 4)) and femur neck, trochanter and Ward's triangle. The results were compared with those in 37 healthy controls. In hypothyroidism patients before treatment, serum BGP level was significantly lower (P < 0.05) than but urinary DPD was similar with those of control. BMD was significantly lower in postmenopausal patients (P < 0.01 - 0.001) than that in control group, but there was no change in premenopausal patients. After replacement therapy serum BGP and urinary DPD elevated significantly (P < 0.05), whereas BMD decreased slightly both in the premenopausal and postmenopausal patients when compared with that before treatment, with no statistical significance (P > 0.05). BMD decreased by 0.7% and 1.7% - 5.1% in premenopausal and postmenopausal patients respectively, but there was no significant difference between these two groups (P > 0.05). FT(3) was positively correlated with BGP. FT(4) and FT(3) were positively correlated with DPD. BMD of femur neck and trochanter sites was negatively correlated with FT(4).Short-term physiological dose levothyroxine replacement therapy causes increase of bone turnover and leads to bone mass loss to various extent on hypothyroidism patients.

The main concern is the use of suppressive
doses of T4, for treatment of thyroid cancer or thyroid nodules,
as this has been reported to increase the rate of bone
turnover and, hence, result in osteopenia. The increased rate
of bone turnover was reflected by an elevation of the serum
osteocalcin level, a sensitive marker for increased osteoblast
activity and bone formation (2)."

You could also consider the loss of the progenitor cells in the hair follicles considering Ray Peat's age. Frankly you haven't given me enough info to go on.

This concept of "ohh lala baldness magically curses men with no reason as to whom it strikes" epitomizes the learned helplessness state in my view. Maybe we could fix hairloss instead of changing people's genders and creating new tranquilizers for people with minor emotional issues?

We've played God with so many other things like stem cells and cloning, but heaven forbid we can NEVER fix hairloss.

You think androgynous women who have no hips or boyish hips and jaw lines like men are the pinnacle of good looks? Not me. I like women curvy and with feminine jaw lines. I was walking behind a woman at the grocery store the other day who had splendid curvy hips. Seems to be getting so much rarer these days that it was a turn-on. Didn't even see her face. I wonder if men who like looks of boyish looking women are really sort of a bit gay in a semi-pedo direction.

Androgyny is the pinnacle of good looks, I don’t think they changed genders

I didn't say that was my personal preference, mine is similar to yours. I was just offering something I had read about before

I’ve met women with curvy hips but deep voices, women with the more boyish as you describe figure with beautiful soft feminine voices.

I wondered about that too in regards to homosexual/pedo but after briefly reading about hermaphroditis, I am not sure.

Whoever wrote such an obviously questionable judgment is either not a man or maybe a bi. The more sexual dimorphism occurring between men and women, the better. Physical androgyny and hermaphroditism is repulsive, anti-human. On other side of coin, I don't think - but maybe I'm wrong - the enormous appetite for "romantic" fiction among women includes many books where the male love interest is androgynous or effeminate. Lessons there.

As I said in other post, "The more sexual dimorphism occurring between men and women, the better." It seems that classic female attributes are disappearing, one by one. Used to be most women in recent past had it all - curvy hips, female jaw lines, higher-pitched and unambiguously feminine voices, and more. Not now. Note this cite: "The more masculine the man, the greater his desire for feminine women. The less masculine the man, the greater his tolerance (if not desire) for masculine women."

I think I’d have to agree with you on all points. Can be any number of things but perhaps birth control is a big reason

You are correct, birth control too should be added to list.

It's highly likely to be an external symptom of intracellular aging through calcification.

Hair is a pretty big factor to women in terms of finding men attractive. This "learned helplessness" about hairloss continues to keep us in the dark about something that affects the quality of life for the individuals who suffer from it.

Fascinating observation: "Have a look at many 'female' actresses and even pop artists. Facial and bodily bone structures highly suggestive of transgenderism." Please share more thoughts you have on this.

The youtube community is pretty active about this but their channels keep getting deleted. One of the most fascinating ones is Arnold Schwarzenegger. I fear some of the most detailed analysises have been deleted though (Transvestigations by Hans was probably the best one). It goes way back, up to Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe and it is also very frequent in the Porn Industry.

We cant fix hair loss because its mostly genetics, the same as eye, hair, skin color. Of cours drugs and a hair transplant will work.

Rob at perfect hair health does state there was like 3 genes they could test for showing your susceptibility to baldness, but he uses detumescence massage to regrow hair

You’re really annoying. Sorry but you’re wrong about hairloss, basically we’re talkung about a condition similar to how people suffer from Type 2 diabetes not eye color

Where do you live, US? I gotta say in Europe at least women generally seem to be getting hotter and more feminine with each passing year.

About baldness, many of the men who women rank among the sexiest in the world are bald/balding. There are way worse things for a man than to lose his hair (like hypogonadism or hypothyroidism), and baldness often occurs in men with excellent thyroid and androgen levels.

I have hypothyroidism and I think balding is worse

I mean each to his own, but... in one corner you have:

impaired cognitive abilities, including memory, general intelligence, processing speed, etc
impaired motor skills
impaired sensory acuity
low energy
low creativity
low motivation
low libido
muscle weakness
etc...

in the other you have:

loss of scalp hair

Hair loss is a natural part of the aging process.... at age 20 around 10-15% have hair loss. age 30, 30% and by age 90 nearly 90%+ have hair loss.

There is no evidence male pattern baldness can be prevented via diet and supplements. I know most are hoping is thats easy to drink orange juice and take magnesium and you have a thick head of hair until your 90.

I wonder why they would delete the channels. Too close to a raw nerve? Perhaps Castratos never stopped, they just went underground?
Perhaps it is the branding of slaves, I mean perhaps pop-stars and actors are branded this way to show they are slaves to the so-called élite' inbred scumbags running the show. Simply there to distract the masses from reaching their full human potential which may make them a threat to the system.
All worth considering, once you open your mind and are awake you realise ANYTHING can be a lie or opposite to what you have believed most of your life.
I think the reason many are finding these strange people attractive is subconscious programming. They are on the TV all the time, cover of magazines, newspapers, posters everywhere, in cinema, in video games in porn. It is non-stop bombardment. Add to that the excess estrogens in the environment and you have a recipe for changing what is viewed as the ideal woman. Another place you find a high concentration of these freaks is in modelling. No wonder there is an explosion of eating disorders or people, especially women, who dislike their own appearance. Trying to look like these strange freaks, who may in fact have been males all along.

But since health declines with age, hairloss is still quite possibly a sign of failing health.
