My wife is having all the symptoms of being pregnant but test says negative

We tried about a week ago and she took the pregnancy test in about 8 days after and it read negative but she is having symptoms of early pregnancy could the test be taken too soon please help

Yes it’s probably a little too soon. Wait two weeks or the date of her expected period to test again.
