Hi, my husband takes Warfarin because he has a mechanical heart valve.
I don't think he's ready to stop taking it yet and I'm not clued up enough to know what would even be a safe way to come off it and what to do instead but that's not what my question is. We're doing our best with what's possible for us right now and one thing I'm not wondering is would it be safe for him to take a Vitamin D3 supplements that contains K2 MK7? I've read on this forum that apparently yes, it's even encouraged to take Warfarin with K2 but the comments I've read didn't give me enough substantial information so I was hoping someone here can give me a bit more info and point me to some sources because Google just loves to say the opposite.

The sup in question contains 1400IU D3 and 25cm K2 per drop. He takes between around 4.5mg Warfarin per day, sometimes less sometimes more depending on his most recent INR blood tests.

Thanks in advance!

Vitamin K2 MK-7 may interfere with anticoagulant therapy when more than 50 mcg/day is used.
