Has anyone used one of the "new" caffeinated e-cigarettes? The amount of caffeine per cigarette (refill) is low, but supposedly it is more effective because it is absorbed in the lungs. Websites claim the only potential danger is that no studies have been done to determine long term effects of exposure to lung tissue.
Any thoughts? I'd like to try this.

In one interview, RP talked about caffeine protection against smoke in an animal study. So caffeine is very relevant, but I didn't look up the dosage nor how it was administered.

I know they used to make caffeinated soap, and people reported a real effect like in drinking coffee. I think the combination of nicotine and caffeine can be very good for the brain in a time of stress.

I'd have to double check but I believe these particular "e-cigarettes" do not have nicotine. The ingredients listed include: caffeine, Distilled Water, Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerin, Flavoring.

"We found that 1 mg nicotine has a pronounced thermogenic effect, which is increased by approximately 100% when it is combined with 100 mg caffeine"

So it would possibly help to increase metabolic rate. But it could also be detrimental for some by increasing lipolysis and the liberation and oxdidation of fatty acids. I guess it would depend on how unsaturated your adipose tissues are and how you are eating at the time etc.
