I imagine it would sting, especially if you shave your armpits. It could help neutralize bacteria that cause odor but I'm not sure how much. Other health benefits though!

It would sting. Have you tried baking soda? I just put a tablespoon of baking soda in a little jar, add an inch or two of water, give it a stir, then dip a few fingers in and wipe it on the under arm. Works well for me.

Have you ever tried milk of magnesia in a spray bottle? Works great for me, you still sweat normally (which is good) but it doesn't stink.

Milk of magnesia is the best even with little bleach (Philips has little bit of it)

I just dust my underarms with baking soda. A pinch or so works great to eliminate odor. You will still perspire but no odor. Very safe and dirt cheap
