From researchers in Italy, this paper mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines and Long-Lived Plasma Cells: A Complicated Relationship describes a scientific basis for the short durability of the Covid vaccines.

Abstract
mRNA COVID-19 vaccines have hegemonized the world market, and their administration to the population promises to stop the pandemic. However, the waning of the humoral immune response, which does not seem to last so many months after the completion of the vaccination program, has led us to study the molecular immunological mechanisms of waning immunity in the case of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. We consulted the published scientific literature and from the few articles we found, we were convinced that there is an immunological memory problem after vaccination. Although mRNA vaccines have been demonstrated to induce antigen-specific memory B cells (MBCs) in the human population, there is no evidence that these vaccines induce the production of long-lived plasma cells (LLPCs), in a SARS-CoV-2 virus naïve population. This obstacle, in our point of view, is caused by the presence, in almost all subjects, of a cellular T and B cross-reactive memory produced during past exposures to the common cold coronaviruses. Due to this interference, it is difficult for a vaccination with the Spike protein alone, without adjuvants capable of prolonging the late phase of the generation of the immunological memory, to be able to determine the production of protective LLPCs. This would explain the possibility of previously and completely vaccinated subjects to become infected, already 4–6 months after the completion of the vaccination cycle.

It implies it was the adjuvant causing immunity spikes which makes sense, the body is too intelligent for the genetic determinists, it’s possible a resonant field effect is necessary for mRNA to be accepted permanently, also if the mRNA didn’t add to increasing coherency and complexity why would the body accept it, the body feels it has more advanced mechanisms to deal with the virus.

Honestly, I would be very careful about any research coming out of Italy (especially since their reasoning is "in our view" with no solid evidence to back it up).
In Europe it is well known that research from any Italian university or institution is not up to par with that of other European countries.

I've never looked that deeply in to genetics but this seems to confirm a suspicion I'm holding.

That genes aren't a blueprint but a readout for the state of a cell. Attempting to change them without environmental change may work but is never a permanence. They simply revert.

That there is no blueprint for life, it just happens. We make of that what we will.

Thank you. I was not aware of their reputation in the research community.

You were not aware of it because it is pure unadulterated bull****.

Yes, that is another possible explanation.

Right. The child decides it wants to look like dad/mom.
Ok maybe some. But for example, I don't think man would be able to change eye colour with RNA transcription and get it to stick. Even repeating the manipulation over a full turnover of cells in the iris.

Yes, the body probably manufactures the spike protein temporarily until it senses that there is no longer a pressing reason to do so. This time period probably varies among individuals dependent upon their metabolic coherence and strength. This is why, with good or bad intentions, Big Pharma saw the need for boosters.

Obviously you have never worked in a European research environment...
Is it any worse than a US Ivy League research environment, complete with a peer review system?

Out of which research environment did the climate change science come about? Italian, US, or European?
