This study aimed to explore the relationship between thyroid hormone and prognosis in septic shock patients."

--> So T3 seems to be a reliable predictor of mortality due to sepsis.

This graph illustrates it nicely: After 23 days people with a higher T3 level (>0.48nmol/l) had a 75% survival rate, while people with a lower T3 level had about a 5-10% survival rate.

What are the best ways to lower lactic acid other than indirectly through T3 > increased CO2?
