Why do we have so many trolls on this forum nowadays ?
They are polluting the purity of RP's research.
They should go to their respective forums and share their BS ideas.
If you don't like RP's ideas, what the h*** are you doing here?
There is a debate section on this forum for Jack Kruse and Mercola BS.
@charlie and the mods should do something.
:banplz
Where are the trolls? Different opinions are good to hear. I don't want to live in Peat bubble forever.

I agree about different opinions.
That's why there is a debate section.
Different opinions are not healthy for NOOBS looking for help.
I think this is Ray Peat forum and all research and ideas should be around Ray Peat.
We are free to explore Jack Kruse forum or Mercola forum if Peat bubble makes us tired. :)

I will never grow tired of Peat ideas I just want to see other bubbles floating around our bubble. People sometimes are lazy to post in specific sub-forums maybe. Or maybe it's relevant here.

Can they reengineer the cell phones so those emissions are reduced?

Yes, the device you are describing has already been invented. It avoids radiation by transmitting data via a metal wire physically connected between devices. It's called a telephone :)

Sorry, couldn't resist teasing you. But seriously, no. The thing that allows a cellphone to transmit data wirelessly is the radio/microwave radiation that is bad for your health.

Same with WiFi and Bluetooth. It's the same basic thing just different wavelengths / frequencies.

I have heard about a potential wireless technology that uses light to transmit data, which would avoid microwave radiation, but it requires a direct line of sight, so that would probably not be an acceptable limitation for most people.

The only known, practical way to avoid this form of radiation is to turn back the technological clock and go back to using wired, land-line technologies. Which, at this point in my research, is something I am both willing and motivated to do.

lol thanks for the info!

But it's not practical if you are outside and wants to call somebody.

Correct. But then, nothing in life is free.

So it's like others have already said and even this California report says: if you must use a cellphone, try to keep the device as far away from your body as possible as often as possible.

Can we use very very long headphones for calls to reduce exposure to radiation? I don't like Internet on my phone anyways. I just use it for calls and checking emails.

Yes. Radiation levels are dependent on proximity. It doesn't even have to be that far from you. Levels can drop drastically within inches.

But remember if you're still holding your phone in your hands or keeping it in your pocket, it's still close to your body (though you could argue it's better to be irradiating your hands rather than your head, but then, it's like with X-rays, they have systemic negative effects).

I don't like Internet on my phone anyways. I just use it for calls and checking emails.

Using your phone for calls requires the phone to send / receive a cellular signal, which is radiation. So even if you are only using it for phone calls, you are still being exposed to radiation.

So yeah, this was a problem from the very beginning with the first generation cell phones — smart phones with full internet access have just made the problem worse because we use our phones more often (and because the more popular phone usage is, the more cell towers are built to expand and improve signal "coverage" and "strength" which could also be seen as "more radiation exposure" and "more radiation strength" :( ).

By the way, checking for (new) emails uses "internet" in the sense that it's wireless internet that allows you to send/receive data.

---

If you want to carry your phone on you but avoid radiation, you can:

A) Turn it off. No radiation that way, but you won't receive calls. Obviously. :)

Or

B) Put it on "Airplane Mode" which, for the purposes of radiation, is effectively the same as turning it off.

That's pretty much it.

---

Again, if you need the phone to be on and functional, the further away from your body, the better.

Airplane Mode essentially disables the sending and receiving of signals, and that will eliminate radiation, but then those cellular functions won't work — can't make calls, can't receive calls, can't use the internet. But in practice, you'll find that some stuff still kinda works — like you can check old emails that have been downloaded and cached locally, but you can't check for new mail. And non-internet apps will still work, like games and calculators.

Also, on some phones you can still locate yourself on Google Maps even in airplane mode because it uses GPS and your phone acts as a passive receiver of data (like a satellite dish) and the software can still determine your position.

But, even when your phone is on airplane mode and you're not getting radio/microwave exposure, you are still getting Magnetic Field exposure as with pretty much all electronic devices and machines — but that's a whole 'nother story...

Interesting stuff thanks for the informative response. Well it looks like the next logical thing to do is destroy my iPhone lol

His main point is not PUFA restriction, but the restriction of everything that affects the metabolism negatively, or the opposite: supporting nothing that has no effect on genes positively. No, wait, something wrong. Positively supporting nothing that has no genes on effect. Never mind..

But that is nothing specific; I mean, "everything that affects metabolism negatively".. nobody wants that, because a healthy metabolism is key factor for health. What distinguishes the researchers are the main pathways or keypoints they consider more vital for health. And the point for Peat is the danger of pufas.

Kruse main battle horse is about the importance of light and emf on human body, and I think that is of inmensely importance in today (and near future) living. Sure he has some BS points too, same Ray has it too. Is up to us to find and discuss the best of every sources.

I mentioned kruse because this thread come up, and he hes much more researched on this subject, and he's been warning about it for long time.

"Because a healthy metabolism is a key factor for health" is something that you've incorporated from him but the association is not so clear out there, without such guide it's easy to get lost. And he already criticized the idea of a specialist because it's common to miss the whole picture.
He writes about nutrition, air, light, exercise, outlook on life, etc. PUFA restriction is one of his main points, but he's not limited to it.

If you think that you found something useful outside of his work, it's probably wrong or not worth because it will come with guilt for betraying him. By the way, I'm considering creating a company that sells mini bobblehead Rays to put in cars.

@Agent207 - something has been bothering you. Is it because narouz and Mittir disappeared? Or perhaps because burtlan is barely posting? Or because jyb no longer is the 3rd poster on haidut's studies threads? Or because Tarmander hasn't been loessing enough, or that loess hasn't been Tarmandering? Maybe because raypeatclips hasn't been clipping what you wanted him to clip? Or because we will never be able to repeat bobloblaw without confusion? Or because it was only today that you realized that biggirlkiss is actually with incandescent lights directed towards him in his avatar? Or because Koveras and aguilaroja are on the line to be worshipped? Are you mad because you confused Ulla for Ukall? Or because ecstatichamster got offended when you implied that rats and hamsters are all the same? Because milk_lover is swimming in gold while we're swimming in water? Because HDD didn't quote something that you wanted her to quote on the expected timing? Puzzled why NathanK shows I love you so much when you don't love him back? Or because you wonder how John Frusciante posts at the same time that he's performing live? Or mad because Dan Wich hasn't created a section dedicated to amber glasses and dental hygiene? Perhaps Orion that reminded you of onion, that's repulsive for you? Or because you can't understand how Such washes the back of his head since the skull expansion went longer than the length of his arms? Perhaps because there can't be other agent here other than you? Or maybe because you wanted that PakPik and Pet Peeve started a romance? Is it because there are lion attacks on giraffes and charlie is too close to Giraffe? Is it because you lost the link to tyw's blog and can't find it again? Perhaps because I can't tell the difference between in and on so I'm always walking in the streets and living on a home? Because you can't identify what's behind dd99's avatar since it's broken? Is it because you're still traumatized by the picture that YuraCZ uploaded? Is it because charlie didn't include an option on the menu that collects all of the threads that you have saved drafts, so you can easily find them? Perhaps because haidut was never featured again on Generative Energy podcast? Afraid of Philomath's avatar? Because Ewlevy owns an athlete while you don't? Or because bzmazu is the only person in his country? Constantly confusing poilochio with pinocchio? Because Strongbad, charlie and a third member that I forgot can't be in harmony since they must be fighting for territorial dominance? Because you're afraid that paymanz is going to change his avatar pic and you actually like the current one? Or because tyler got it wrong, why become a man if you can become the man, such as becoming pboy with haidut? Thinking that Blossom came back when in fact it's member bloom? Mad because XPlus didn't upload the gelatin series #3? Or finally because the content posted by most members on the forum have been too narrow-minded in your opinion?

I put my phone on airplane mode when sleeping, thoughts? I also take cyproheptadine at night and do lots of epsom salt baths and coffee.

Selenium intake could be higher.

When talking on the phone, do you use any special headsets? Or keep on speaker?

I think air plane mode is OK. Cyproheptadine, magnesium, selenium are all good options. Many of the steroids like progesterone and androsterone are also calcium channel blockers so they can be used too.
I keep the phone on speaker when I talk and really don't like talking much on the phone so most of my conversations are brief. I think the phone is quickly replacing the computer as the default information device and people now mostly text instead of talk, which can be done with the phone far from the head/torso.
