Several years ago, we had a house we were trying to sell that had a cockroach problem (American Cockroaches, not those nasty German ones).
There was a short period of time where I treated the perimeter and problem areas of the home with Ortho Home Defense (Bifenthrin, Zeta-Cypermethrin) frequently; maybe 4-5 times over the period of 2 months or so. I wasn't careful and didn't use gloves or a mask. I figured it's just consumer-grade stuff, what's the worst that could happen?
I ended up getting the "flu" like 3 or 4 times later that year. I always wondered if there was a connection.
